PAST PROJECT / 2022 / CLOSED

Keeping a record
of what did not work.

Sakasama Furima was a personal attempt to build a marketplace that began with buyers' requests. It reached an early launch but never became sustainable.

STATUSCLOSEDNOT A CURRENT BUSINESS OR INVITATION

AN HONEST RECORD

This is not a success story.

I tried to handle the concept, site and operation alone. The service did not reach a genuinely usable state, while maintenance costs continued, so I chose to close it.

ORIGINAL NOTES / EARLY WIREFRAMES

The first screens I drew when I was much younger.

I did not yet know how to validate or design a service, but these pages show how I tried to turn the buyer-first flow into an interface.

THE IDEA

What was reversed

In a common marketplace, sellers list items and buyers search. I reversed that starting point: buyers would state what they wanted, and people who had it could respond.

02

WHAT I DID

Trying to build it alone

I chose the name, obtained the domain and prepared the site, but I took on validation, development, user acquisition and operation at the same time.

03

WHAT HAPPENED

Maintenance remained while activity did not

Real transactions never began to move reliably. The burden became larger than the reason to continue, so I closed the project.

04

WHAT REMAINS

Learning the name of the model later

Only later did I learn that the idea was close to a reverse auction. I connected the theory to the attempt after the failure, not before it.
