I wrote down purchase and exit reasons before trading so each decision could be reviewed later.

Face the numbers

Positions, capital, unrealised results and the original reasons for buying were placed on one page without trying to make the outcome look better.

Separate time horizons

Day trades and positions held for days or weeks use different conditions, supported by limits on averaging down, leverage and moving stop lines.
